In the light of the Holy Hadith
Ramadan, give us a chance to be closer to Allah
Abu Hurairah (R.A.A.) reported that the messenger of Allah said: When the month of Ramadhan comes, the gate of Jannah is thrown open, the doors of Jahannam are closed, and the Shayateen are imprisoned. (Bukhari)
The month of blessings
This hadith teaches us that Ramadan is a time of abundant blessings, mercy, and forgiveness. Every moment of this sacred month is filled with Allah’s mercy and blessings, with countless individuals being granted forgiveness and delivered from the torment of Jahannam.
Doing righteous deeds becomes easy this month
During this month, obeying Allah and adhering to His commands became more attainable. Performing acts of worship that may seem arduous on ordinary days, such as offering two units of voluntary prayer after the Isha Salah, become effortless during Ramadan. Even after completing twenty units of Taraweeh prayers, individuals remain eager to continue their devotion to prayer. This ease and willingness to engage in worship are gifts from Allah (SWT), as He has blessed Ramadan with an atmosphere that ignites a deep yearning to dedicate oneself to acts of worship.
Reap the fruits of this month
Hence, to seek Allah’s approval, safeguard oneself from Jahannam, and secure entry into Jannah, there exists no opportune moment like Ramadan. The key to harvesting the blessings of this month lies in nurturing within ourselves the fervent desire, dedication, zeal, and eagerness to strive for Allah’s pleasure.
