In the light of the Holy Hadith
Ramadan provides an opportunity to draw closer to Allah
Abu Hurairah (R.A.A) reported that the messenger of Allah said: When the month of Ramadan comes, the gate of Jannah is thrown open, the doors of Jahannam are closed and the Shayateen are imprisoned. (Bukhari)
The Month of Divine Blessings:
This Hadith teaches us that Ramadan is a time filled with blessings, mercy, and forgiveness. Every moment of Ramadan witnesses the descent of Allah’s mercy and blessings upon us. Countless individuals are forgiven and granted salvation from Jahannam during this sacred month.
Ease in Performing Righteous Deeds:
During Ramadan, carrying out righteous deeds becomes effortless. Obeying Allah and adhering to His commands become second nature during this blessed month. What may seem challenging on an ordinary day, such as performing two units of voluntary prayer after Isha Salah, becomes a source of eagerness and joy in Ramadan. Despite having completed twenty units of Taraweeh prayers, individuals are still enthusiastic about engaging in additional acts of worship. This ease and desire to devote oneself to worship are blessings bestowed by Allah (SWT) during Ramadan, inspiring a profound eagerness to perform ibadah.
Harvesting the Blessings of Ramadan:
Hence, to attain Allah’s pleasure, safeguard oneself from Jahannam, and secure entry into Jannah, there is no more opportune time than the month of Ramadan. The key to reaping the benefits of this month lies in fostering within our hearts a desire, devotion, zeal, and eagerness to seek the pleasure of Allah (SWT). By exerting effort and dedicating ourselves to worship during Ramadan, we can truly reap its abundant blessings and spiritual rewards.
