Dear Readers
Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullah. Hope you are keeping well by the mercy of the most merciful who is helping us to lead a relatively peaceful life without war or famine. But we are also horrified and deeply disappointed to see what is going on around the world. War mongers are really upbeat with their windfall profits accrued from Syrian, Yemeni, Ukraine and last of all Gaza-Israel wars. Hamas’s strike in Israel and pounding hundreds of pounds of bombs on a 365 sq kilometer area of Gaza Strip have already left over three thousand killed and several thousand others injured. Gaza is on the brink of human catastrophe with all the food, electricity and water supply cut off by Israel. Israel is bombarding civilians in the name of hunting down the Hamas soldiers but their bombing is ending up in killing hundreds of civilians including nearly six per cent children. Common people’s buildings are decimated, hospitals bombed and UNRAW schools are targeted and even journalists are killed. It can be termed as systemic annihilation of a people, a civilization and a history, reducing Gaza into rubbles. Gaza like Iraq, Afghanistan is turning into a junkyard of empires and Gazans are found sifting the leftovers. That’s why we have picked up the Israeli killing spree of common men, women and children as the cover story of the issue of Youth Wave this month.
