Editorial
Dear Readers,
Assalamu alaikum. Hope you are well, by the mercy of Allah. The issue of the youth wave will reach you when the world has already seen one of the important elections that will shape up the world. Bangladesh and Bhutan have already seen elections, but bigger countries will experience elections within 2024. The powerful countries, including the US, India, Indonesia, etc., will see elections this year. These electoral systems are being corroded, and important laws are being either removed or made lenient to expedite the authoritarians and regimes coming to power repeatedly. The flawed elections are taking the gloss off democracy across the world. The politicians, with the help of academicians, may have to find an alternative to democracy, which has already taken a back seat, losing all of its shine that it once had. In fact, the moral standing of international powers has eroded extensively. That’s why moral powers should replace immoral power corridors like veto powers in the UN. As long as veto power exercises exist, there will be no peace in the world because this veto power is being used against peace initiatives for Palestine and other theatres of conflict in the world. Thus, we make it into the cover story of the issue of your favorite magazine, Youth Wave. Hope you will like the article.
Dear Subscribers,
The whole world’s apathy about the plight of Palestinians can be contrasted with the immediacy of the action against Houthi attacks on the Israeli ships sailing through the Red Sea. The international powers have already started attacking Yemen. Whereas in Gaza, there is no prompt action against Israeli ethnic cleansing, the killing of women and children, or genocidal forces like the Israeli Defence Force.
See you soon, InshaAllah.
