Editorial
Dear thinkers
Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullah. Hope you are keeping well by the mercy of Allah and thanks for reading your favourite monthly the Youth Wave. Afghans are sailing through the transition period after driving out the foreign forces in July 2021. Similar situation prevailed in Iran when Imam Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini-led Iranians toppled Westerners-aided Reza Shah Pahlavi on 11th February in 1979. Afghanistan with its border with Iran is experiencing the moment of steadying after a revolution. The West wants to show that Afghanistan was at its best during the US presence in the country whereas our young writer in contrast delves deep into the question ‘Will the Taliban takeover of Afghanistan lead to further instability and hardship in the country?’ He discusses the country in terms of its society, political climate, and economy. And the economy during these years of foreign rule was very artificial and struggling which prompted unstable society and gloomy or violent political climate. Moreover, for a landlocked country like Nepal, Afghanistan may face aggression as Italy invaded Ethiopia in 1935. And the world learned the lessons of the 30’s and signed the Munich agreement in 1938. That’s why we have made it into the cover story of the magazine.
Hope you will like the story of the young British writer and we will reach you next month with another issue as the cover story.
