The Essence of the Holy Qur’an
Allah is with those who fear Him
And thus We have set up in every town, its wicked men, to plot therein. But they plot not except against their own selves, and they perceive it not.
(Surah No. 06, Al-Ana’m,Verse No. 123)
Allah knows everything
Dear brothers and sisters, The Arabic word Makarah has both a bad and good meaning, that of making an intricate plan to carry out some secret purpose. The enemies of Allah are constantly doing that. As part of their plotting, they are trying to injure and harass the people of that society. But Allah—in whose hand is all good—has His plan also, against which the evil ones will have no chance whatever. Their secret plan or plotting is all known to Allah, but of Allah’s just and beneficent plan, they know nothing. And the wicked must come to an evil end. They mislead others. They only increase enmity and hostility among the people of that society. They are dividing the society. Their persecution makes the lives of the people miserable.
Do not be distressed
The believers, out of their Allah-fearing nature, refrain from evil and adhere to doing good behavior. No matter how others treat them, they return their evil with good. The nature of evil is to work underground, to hide from the light, to plot against righteousness, but evil inevitably carries its punishment. The plots of evil are destined to fail. Eventually, we must eradicate evil itself.
Allah declares in another place: And be patient; do not be distressed, [O Muhammad], and your patience is not but through Allah. And do not grieve over them and do not be distressed over what they conspire. Indeed Allah is with those who fear Him and those who are doers of good. (Surah An-Nahl, Verse No. 127-28).
