Dear Readers
Assalamu alaikum. Hope you are keeping well when the world is rocked by Russia-Ukraine war. The war is hampering many things and flow of works including stoking the prices of oil and commodities. Cost of living is going up all over the world. War-ravaged Asia looks at Europe with awe and anguish, visualizing the junkyards of civilisations like Afghanistan, Syria, Palestine, Yemen and Iraq which was devastated by Mongols and Americans. Small countries like Republic of Tatarstan beside Russia, Bangladesh beside India, Cuba beside the US, Taiwan beside China etc are afraid of expansionism. Small and trucial countries like those of Middle Eastern ones need to stand on their own feet. Once upon a time Ukraine was nuclear power but it gave the nuclear warheads to Russia in exchange for something that what is failing to defend the country today. Once many areas of Ukraine including Tatarstan was ruled by Muslim Golden Horde and Ottomans but now Russia has annexed the motherland of Tartars. Not only that Russians have destroyed either by killing or expelling the Tartars from their own land whereas a section of them served in Russian army. Now some of the Tartars could come back only to land in shanties next to their ancestral homes which are occupied by Russians or their friends. As war means big things for media, so we have made Russia-Ukraine issue the cover story of Youth Wave this month. Hope you will like the story and we will return to you soon.
