Dear Friends
Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullah. Hope you are keeping well in the time of Syrian, Palestinian, Libyan etc wars along with the ‘War on Terror’ which seemingly will never end. It is almost 20 years after the 9/11 terrorist attack which led up to ‘War on Terror’ and has still been continuing since 2001. After the war on terror began the world lost dozens of heritage sites in Iraq, Syria and Libya and other parts of the world. It can be claimed as the ‘Cultural War on the Islamic World’ or ‘Third World War’ which is not restricted to any one country and ending up destroying the cultural sites linked with different prophets (peace be upon them). The warfare has allowed from archaeological looting in Iraq to destruction of important manuscripts of Muslim scholars of Medieval age. Western hegemony claims the war will never end, echoing the 12th century Templars who said to Ertugrul, the central character of Turkish serial Dirilis: Ertugrul, that their crusade against Muslims will never end rather it will continue for 1000 years. That’s why we have looked back at the 11th September attack and its aftermath as the young generations today can know about the history of the incident and its legacy. Hope you will like the historical events.
Hope to return to you next month.
Stay at home and stay safe. n
