Editorial
Dear readers
Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullah.
Hope this issue will find you fit and elegant though the Assamese, Kashmiris like Rohingyas of Myanmar may not have been well. They are facing state-sponsored troubles and sometimes terrorism on their soils. Particularly Kashmiris have long been facing multifaceted tortures at the hands of Indian soldiers. India abrogated Article 370 of the constitution and merged in the Indian union Jammu and Kashmir which always fought for independence and the country is claiming it and NRC issue to be India’s internal affairs like Pakistan which Bangladesh’s fight for independence as internal affairs in 1971. When Bangladesh wanted to be independent Pakistan took otherwise and marched soldiers. Uighur people wanted China held many of them in detention centre. Here India, Pakistan and China are on the same plain in suppressing the voices of the dissent whereas Malay union 1964 expelled Singapore which wanted to stay in the Malay federation. Singaporeans didn’t want self-determination but they were given what they didn’t wish. When the question of detention of own people come to China emerges as champion, Myanmar runner-up and then India which is building detention centres in Assam for its 1.9 million people who were left off the National Register of Citizens. Similar detention centres are on the cards near Mumbai of India as the conspiracy to implement NRCs is being hatched for the whole India. That’s why we are running Kashmir as the cover story of this issue and urged India, China and Myanmar to respect the aspiration of their people and not to be divisive.
Hope you will like the article and wait for our next issue.
