Judge Yourself Not Others

“O you who believe! Let not one people deride another; it may be that they are better than them. Nor let women deride other women; it may be that they are better than them. And do not defame yourselves or insult one another with nicknames; how evil is the iniquitous name after having believed! And whosoever does not repent, they are the wrongdoers.”
(Surah 49. Hujurat, Verse -11)

Dear brothers and sisters,
The Almighty Allah has strictly forbidden us to judge other people. Because, we can never judge the lives of others because each person knows only their own pain and renunciation. It is one thing to feel that you are on the right path but it is another to think that yours is the only path. Those who judge will never understand, and those who understand will never judge.
Unfortunately, we are very much interested to judge others than ourselves. Because, it is easy to judge the mistakes of others, but it is difficult to recognize our own mistakes. We are very good lawyers for our own mistakes but very good judges for the mistakes of others. Judging a person does not define who they are, it defines who you are. When you judge someone, it is actually about you and your own insecurities, limitations, and needs. By judging others we blind ourselves to our own evil and to the grace which others are just as entitled to as we are.
Judging yourself and humbling yourself is the greatest thing you could do in this life! Day of Judgement, you would be called to account, and questioned about even the atom’s weights of passing thoughts and glances. Whoever accounts and judges himself in this world before he would be called to account, no doubt, his reckoning on the Day of Judgement would be lightened from him. But whoever does not account and judge himself in this world, would persist in grief and regret, and his standing on the Day of Judgement would be very long, and his sins would lead him to humiliation and disgrace. So, judge yourself not others.
