The Essence of the Holy Qur’an
Your Struggle Composes Your Life
And whosoever strives, strives only for his own good. Truly God is beyond need of the worlds. (Surah 29. Al-Ankabut, Ayah 6)
Dear brothers and sisters,
In the above verse, Allah gave importance to the struggle of human life, because human beings are punished and rewarded for their own actions. Ultimately one strives and actions only for oneself. One’s deeds are not for Allah, since Allah is beyond need of anything human beings do. One’s deeds cannot be counted for or against another person, because none shall bear the burden of another. This verse indicates a moral theory in which the ultimate impact of one’s actions, whether good or evil, falls upon oneself. Whosoever struggle for better in life and works righteousness, it is for his own good. And whosoever commits evil, it is for his own harm.
Allah has sent us in this World for a purpose. We will only find if we keep going and growing our struggle. Our struggle is our life, and our struggle is our future. Many people look at struggle like it’s a bad thing. But our struggle is a gift from Allah, because nobody wants to hear the story of the man that was giving everything. People want to hear the stories of men and women that endure pain and turned their struggles.
Struggling for a better life in this world and in the Hereafter is very important in Islam, because struggles, challenges and hard times offer one much more value than any other time in his life. Without struggle, resistance, challenge and pain you can’t develop yourself. Struggle is the most important part of your life, and pain is your friend. Maybe not in the moment, but for the evolution of your soul, and for the long-term benefit of you, struggle and pain are the parts of your life. If you didn’t have failures, if you didn’t have struggles and disappointment, you could have no strength, no courage, and no compassion. So, get grateful for the struggles and work on yourself to ensure your future has much more pleasure than pain.
