PERSPECTIVE -Md. Kausar Uddin Ahmed
For ages long, they stood in prayer,
Debating how to voice it there.
A single word, aloud, or soft-low?
A question many wish to know.
You may see some pointless fights,
A trivial thing, many wasted nights.
Please look again, and look within,
There lies a love beneath the skin.
Not for the word itself they lean,
But how he said that one “Amin.”
A careful wish, a quiet esteem,
To trace his path, as he has been.
Do not mock what you have seen,
Nor rush to judge what lies between.
In smallest acts, their hearts convene,
To be like him, that’s what they mean.
(Peace and Blessings of Allah be upon him)
