In the light of the Holy Hadith
Al-Qur’an is the key of the
progress of human being
Hazrat Umar bin Khattab (RAA) is reported to have said that the Prophet (pbuh) once said, Allah through this book (Qur’an) has honoured many nations and blessed them and they were raised to the heights of progress simply because they followed it. Many were destroyed because they did not follow it. (Raizzus Saleheen Part -2)
The Significance of the Qur’an
The importance of the Qur’an is undeniable, as it serves as a guiding light for humanity. The prosperity and survival of a nation depend on adhering to its teachings. Hazrat Usman bin Affan (RA) reported that the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said, “The best among you are those who learn the Qur’an and teach it.” This highlights the supreme virtue of engaging with the Qur’an, both in study and in practice.
The dissemination of the Qur’an
The Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) emphasized the need to spread the Qur’an and make it accessible to people. One of his companions, Ubaida Maleki (RA), narrated that the Prophet (pbuh) said, “Hold firmly to the Qur’an and recite it day and night as it deserves. Spread its message, recite it aloud, and reflect on its meanings to attain the greatest benefit it offers.” Those who read the Qur’an must understand and share its wisdom.
Success lies in following the Qur’an.
Undoubtedly, the Qur’an served as the ultimate guide for the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). By adhering to its teachings, just as he did, we too can find guidance and success in both this life and the Hereafter. Holding firmly to the Qur’an ensures that we remain on the path of righteousness and divine mercy. May Allah grant us the ability to follow its teachings and lead a life of wisdom and righteousness. Ameen.
