Depression: The Demon -Kazi Falguni Eshita
Sometimes, I battle a shadowy foe,
A demon all too familiar, Depression’s woe.
There are nights my body makes me weep;
I cannot eat, nor find solace in sleep.
The pain consumes, and tears I cry,
A whisper says, “Perhaps it’s time to die.”
But then, my mind screams, “No! Go write!
Your pen is the sword; wield it in the fight!”
Taking your life is the gravest sin;
Don’t let the darkness pull you in.
You’ve never wished ill upon another;
Rise, and paint your life in vibrant colors.
Let your pen, your heart, and your imagination
Defeat that demon called Depression.
