Dear subscribers
Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullah. Hope you are keeping well at a time when there has been a lot of hype surrounding space tours stoked by SpaceX founder Elon Musk, former Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos and British billionaire Richard Branson.
A competition is kicked off among the space occupiers. Thousands of satellites are thrown into the orbit of the Earth. Of these satellites, one-third is involved in communication business. Nearly three thousand satellites are orbiting the Earth. As one time glasses, plates and bottles are littering the Earth while its orbit is littered by around 27 thousand space junks. But if small debris like marble or larger, the number will reach five lakh mark as humans have been littering the orbit since 1961. Since the debris in the orbit travels 17,500 miles per hour, they could damage satellites or spacecraft. It seems that littering missions replace the space missions. After making the Earth warm and unsuitable for living, humans are heading towards the Moon, Mars and onwards. Probably the scientists have forgotten that cleanliness is next to godliness. To make our readers aware of the issue we are making it into the cover story of the issue.
Hope the readers will like the story in the first month of the Gregorian calendar. Happy New Year.
