Exhibition: The Colours of Life
A photo exhibition by the late photographer Ešref Džanefendic, as part of the World Music Festival Zeman, is held in Novi Pazar (Serbia). The exhibition, designed as a tribute to the artists’ passing, shows his contribution to the festival’s organisation and participation in its activities. The artist’s work is imbued with a refined sense of colour and life moments. All details he captured are exceptional and aesthetically impressive. Observing the photographs, one feels the connection between the author and the motif in a way that introduces us to the world around us, but which we did not notice, or at least did not notice its details.
At the exhibition’s opening, Nadija Rebronja addressed and pointed out: “For the first posthumous exhibition of photographs by Ešref Džanefendic, we chose thirty-three photographs to symbolise the thirty-two and interrupted thirty-third year of his life. Selected photographs show Ešref’s different approach to photographic expression, at the centre of which are mostly architecture and parts of architectural forms. His attitude towards life and art characterised a strong experience of a more beautiful and always cheerful reality. That is why the feature of his photographic expression is very often the search for strong colours, and these artistic photographs do not tend to capture a realistic rather a utopian image of the world and urban space.”
