A letter to Macron -Motiur Rahman

Honourable president,

May peace be on you.Though you are malicious to Islam and its followers,i pray that all your misconceptions about Islam be removed. You hurt us when you criticized islam.Okay, i agree that the person who decapitated a teacher of your country for showing the caricatures of our beloved prophet Muhammad(pbuh) commited a grave mistake.Because a muslim cannot be allowed to kill a person indiscriminately in a country where islamic laws are not applicable.Islamic shariah also doesn’t promote it.But because of a single man’s mistake, you cannot blame all the muslims around the world.You cannot say it is a charecteristic of islamist terrorism.You have no right to portray islam in a wrong way.It is a matter of sorrow that you inspired your countrymen to mock our prophet by projecting his caricatures.It extremely hurts us.Is it what you call freedom of speech?It is not freedom of speech.It is freedom of insulting minorities of your country and manifestation of anti-islamic sentiment.You said,”Secularism has never killed anyone.”How ridiculous!I think you don’t know the history of atrocity carried out by people who cherished secularism.Perhaps you don’t know even the history of your own country.History testifies that colonial France massacred 30000 Algerians after the second world war.The French soldiers buried the corpse and threw into rivers.We know about the history of the 24 Algerian fighters beheaded during Algerian popular resistance against the colonialism of France between 1838 and 1865.The skulls of the resistance fighters were once viewed as war trophies by colonial officers of France. Algeria was under the occupation of colonial France for 132 years during which more than 1.5 million Algerians were killed.Now what will you say?Will you say secularism has never killed anyone?History laughs at you. Have you ever read biography of prophet Muhammad (pbuh)? When he conquered Mecca,he forgave those people who once tortured him,mocked him,conspired to assassinate him.No other example of forgiveness in history is as unique as the example of forgiveness shown by Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).Can you imagine?Honourable president, i would like to invite you to acquire sufficient knowledge about islam and to read about the torchbearer whose teachings enlightened humanity.May God help you realize the truth.
