In the light of the Holy Hadith
Dear brothers and sisters,
Patience is an attribute of man only and angels, birds and beasts have no such attribute. An angel has got no necessity of patience as he has got no evil nature. Lower animals are guided by instincts and greed. They have got no need for patience.
Man has got animal nature in his childhood. Then he feels greed for food, then desire for plays and sports and next- desire for marriage comes. At first, he has no power of patience. Then when his intellect begins to grow, an internal clash begins within him and at that time patience is necessary. At the time of maturity he is placed under two angels. One shows him the path of guidance and another gives his strength. By these two angels, he is raised from a lower animal to the rank of a man. At that time, he is given two qualities. One quality is the knowledge of Allah and His prophet, and another quality is patience. So, patience is an important stage of religion.
Patience with others is love, patience with self is hope, and patience with Allah is faith. Remember that a trusting attitude and a patient attitude go hand in hand. You see, when you let go and learn to trust Allah, it releases joy in your life. And when you trust Allah, you’re able to be more patient. Patience is not just about waiting for something, it’s about how you wait, or your attitude while waiting. Great works are performed not only by strength but also by perseverance. So, patience is a key element of success as the Prophet (pbuh) said: “Nobody can be given a blessing better and greater than patience.”
