Dear readers
Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullah. Hope you are keeping well. In the wake of continued wars and concentration of wealth at the hands of one percent people of the world more and more people are migrating from one country to another. To do so they are bracing themselves even for death in sea or jungle or in the cold mountains. So we are running the cover story on migration but on human migration but on migration holistically. Hope you will like the story.
Dear subscribers
Bangladesh has earned a bad name being a country of poverty, famine, cyclone, sidr and flood but the country itself is not that much responsible for killing of its international rivers. Illegal withdrawal and diversion of water by India as the upper riparian country are much responsible for the floods and the damages related to it in the lower riparian country Bangladesh. Five thousands of schools are closed, hampering education even public examinations are withheld. Bangladesh can demand reparation since the commissioning of Farakkah, Gajoldoba, Tipaimukh Dam’s Fulertal Barrages for the loss in education of students, life and properties and tarnishing the image of the country in the world. Anyway, what we can do for the flood-affected is relief work and help. Hope you will stand by the flood-affected people.
Hope to return to you next month.
